IDFG Volunteer Opportunity

Don has forwarded over this e-mail from Michael Young (volunteer services coordinator with IDFG).  It sounds like quite the opportunity if you are looking for something to do this fall and want to help out Idaho Fish & Game.idaho-fish-game

Hey folks!

Please read the message below from Anna Owsiak at Andrus Wildlife Management Area.  (Andrus WMA is NW of Cambridge near Brownlee Reservoir and Hells Canyon.)

Hi Everyone,

I am in need of some help with office hours at the Andrus WMA from Sept 1 – Dec 31, and am wondering if you may know of someone(s) who may be interested in volunteering to help.  In exchange for manning the key checkout system for a few hours in the morning and late afternoon, I provide a place to stay (or park a camper), food for meals and there is of course hunting and fishing right out the front door during free time.  If they have hunted or been here before that is even better, as they will be better able to answer hunter questions.  Scheduling is flexible; there are lots of available dates at the moment.

If you know of someone who may be interested, please give me a call or have them contact me directly at the WMA office 257-3363.  Thanks!! Anna

Please let me know if you are interested and also contact Anna.

For those of you interested in Salmon Spawning- I have a huge list of all the hatcheries in the state and when they will be spawning.

Also, there will be no IDFG van traveling to Rapid River Hatchery this month.  There is a possibility of that happening the first week of September.
